Operating principles of ultrasonic wave level meter

Please think of how an echo in mountains works.
If you make a large sound toward mountains at a distance, your voice will be reflected and return after a delay.
A sensor oscillator generates ultrasonic pulse waves. By measuring time to return the waves after reflected on the material to be measured (liquid etc.), the meter continuously output liquid level. Namely, if the distance between the level meter and material is short, the time to return waves is shorter. If the distance between the level meter and material is long, the time to return waves is longer. The wave return time changes according to the rise and fall of the liquid level. The meter converts these return times to a level signal.

Application example・Ultrasonic wave level sensors can be easily tuned locally

We are using a ultrasonic wave level meter. However, settings to measure is troublesome compared with other level meters with another principles. The currently used meter is required to repeat turning by connecting a PC.
Is there a ultrasonic wave level meter that can be operated and measured easily?

A. Ultrasonic wave level meters are the mostly often used level meters among non-contact types. However, they have problems to difficult to set and tune locally. Especially, initial setting before start measurement and tuning to match material are difficult and manufacturer's engineer visit locally and set these using a PC.
